Fan Report Jobs
Wanna get in the game? Fan Report is looking to add a few all-stars to our team. Fan Report is a Chicago-based media startup that scours the Internet, from the biggest sites to the smallest blogs, to find the latest news about your favorite sports team. We summarize it, make it fun, and send it out in a daily email newsletter. (That’s right: daily.) We launched Cubs Fan Report in April 2010 and we’re preparing for the debut of Bulls Fan Report in October. That’s where you come in. Fan Report is looking to fill the following positions:
BULLS FAN REPORT WRITER
If you have a passion for writing, relentless attention to detail, and insane knowledge of basketball, the Chicago Bulls, and pop culture, you could become a member of our team.
Bulls Fan Report seeks an individual with a strong work ethic who’s a smart, quick writer. You write with a voice and can take edits well. You live for Bulls basketball: You were tense during this summer’s free agency, you watch Derrick Rose highlights for fun, and “The Shot” requires no explanation. You know pop culture: you have a favorite member of KISS or Jersey Shore, and you can quote lines from the Simpsons, Family Guy, or Will Ferrell movies. Most importantly, you’re a hard worker willing to do whatever it takes to make Bulls Fan Report the best product out there.
We’re looking for a writer who can work with our Editor two or three days per week on editions of Bulls Fan Report. Each day’s Report will require 2-3 hours of your time. As a small, self-funded startup, we can pay you a little, but you’ll also earn solid clips, occasional Bulls tickets, and the opportunity to grow with exciting media startup from the very beginning.
